Multiple entry visas

Multiple-entry visas are issued at the discretion of the Nepal embassy, and are valid for six months from the date of entry. These entitle you to a maximum stay of 90 days.

Employment and voluntary work

Visitors with Nepal tourist visas are not permitted to engage in any employment or voluntary work in the country.

When is a Nepal tourist visa valid from?

A Nepal tourist visa is valid from the date of entry into the country, rather than the date of issue.

Can I stay in Nepal for longer than the duration of my visa?

Tourist visas can be extended at the Department of Immigration and Pokhara Immigration Office for a total of 120 days. The Department may also grant an additional 30 days, on reasonable grounds. However, over the course of a visa year, a tourist cannot stay in Nepal for more than 150 days overall.
